The Farm &
The Berry

Lonicera caerulea

The most antioxidant-rich
berry you've never heard of.

The haskap berry — also called honeyberry — is native to northern climates. It's been a staple in Japan and Russia for centuries, but it's still relatively unknown in North America.

The flavour is bold and layered — think blueberry and blackcurrant with a hint of elderberry. The berries are oblong, dark purple-blue, and ripen earlier than almost any other berry crop.

Alberta's cold winters and warm summers create conditions that push the berry to its peak. Our Crooked Creek location is ideal.

How We Grow

From blossom
to bottle.

01

Spring Bloom

Haskap is one of the first plants to flower in Alberta — bees are out early and so are we.

02

Early Harvest

We harvest in late June and early July, when the berries hit their peak flavour and antioxidant content.

03

Small Batch Processing

Berries go from field to kitchen quickly. We process in small batches to maintain flavour and freshness.

04

Bottled by Hand

Every jar is filled and sealed by hand. We inspect each one before it leaves the farm.
